A Study of the Relationship between Giving and Financial Indicators of Household: Comparative Study according to Giving Area(Religious, Secular and Total Giving)

Abstract
The purpose of the study is to analyze giving behavior as used in previous studies traditional unit of analysis beyond individual units in the analysis of household behavior. Especially in the economic indicators of household behavior was used to measure giving behavior. Been used in previous studies in addition to income, household assets, household debt, by using indicators such as household spending were used. In particular, asset was divided into current asset and fixed asset. Current asset is easy to liquidate assets in short period, and relatively difficult to liquidate asset is fixed asset. The dependent variable, spent on religious institutions was named ¡°religious giving¡±, and spent on the other field except for religious institutions was named ¡°secular giving¡±. The sum of the two contributions was named ¡°Total Giving¡±. And the findings were compared. In this study, National Survey of Tax and Benefit conducted by the Korea Institute of Public Finance was used. Data include about 5,000 national households except Jeju-do and other small island. In this study 1-5 Year (2008-2012) data was used, and the research model was analyzed through panel-Tobit model among panel analysis methods. In this study, the theoretical contribution of household in the influence on the economic variables was verified, through which household behavior was promoting a deeper understanding and practical in terms of access to household characteristics with a focus on raising the household market segmentation strategy was laid the foundation of development. In addition, through a differentiated approach to the giving of the various properties, tried to expand the scope of the giving.
